Software Installation Service Details (est. Time 1 Hour)

We will install purchased software or freeware for the customer. We will check for the appropriate updates and patches for the software if available. We will then check to see that the PC / Laptop is running at optimal performance and set the system up to download the latest O/S updates and patches. We will advise the customer if they are not running software that will protect their PC / Laptop from Virus's & Trojans, Ad-ware & Spy-ware. We will advise the customer of some excellent Virus & Trojan programs that are free or can be purchased. If the customer decides they would like one of the programs we will either download the version requested or install it depending on whether it is freeware or a purchased copy.

Software Technical Support

Upon receiving a request for software technical support we will open a log with Pace Computer Repair & Solutions and enter all information in the log. The customer can ask for advice for the software they need technical support on and if the technician is fluent using that software he can provide the customer the information. If it is not software the technician is fluent in he will have another technician (that is fluent in the software trouble call when available) call the customer back and provide them with the information they require. In some instances the technician might require to actually be there to be able to see what is going on with the software. If this is the case he will schedule an appointment with the customer to rectify the problem. If this is the case then our hourly rates apply.

Software Upgrades / Updates Service Details (est. Time 1 Hour)

We will upgrade any software the customer may require to have update. (The customer is responsible for any licensing fees or upgrades fees). We will while working on the PC / Laptop doing the software upgrades, check to see that the PC / Laptop is running at optimal performance and will also check the installed software on the PC / Laptop for updates & Patches.


Operating System Trouble Shooting and Technical Support

We will trouble shoot your system to correct any problems you may be having. We will also advise you on different ways to stop other problems from happening again. While we are correcting any problems on your PC / Laptop he will check to see that the PC / Laptop is running at optimal performance and will also check the installed software on the PC / Laptop for updates & Patches. We provide Technical support for all Windows Operating systems. Just give us a call and have one of our technicians talk you through the problems.


Full Operating System Installation (est. Time 2 Hours)

We will install a licensed version of your Operating System. If you do not have the product key then you must purchase one (this can be done from Pace Computer Repair or any other Computer store or direct from the Operating System Providers Web Site) as most Operating systems require a Product Code during the installation process. Once the Operating System is installed, We will find and install all available drivers for your Computer or Laptop, download all the latest patches and updates, setup the system for optimal performance and install any licensed or freeware programs the customer wishes to have installed.


Upgrade Operating System Installation (est. Time 2 Hours)

We will upgrade your PC / Laptop from one version to another version of windows only if the customer has a license version. The customer can also do a full installation if they wish instead of an upgrade provided they have a licensed version of the operating system they wish to have installed. Once the Operating System has been upgraded, we will find and install all available drivers for your Computer or Laptop, download all the latest patches and updates, setup the system for optimal performance and install any licensed or freeware programs the customer wishes to have installed.

NOTES:

Depending on the version of upgrade the customer wish to have done the files on the computer to customer wishes to keep must be backed up and then restored.
